SWANTON BLACK LIME™
SWANTON BLACK LIME™
SWANTON BLACK LIME™ is a well balanced natural mineral complex manufactured in a standard fertilizer grade granule for ease of application using conventional spreading equipment. Black Lime is a unique carbonaceous clay mineralogy of high nutritive content including Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium, Silicon, Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Sulphur, and significant traces including Vanadium, Zinc, Cobalt, Chromium, Copper, and Boron. 5.6% Total Carbon, nearly 1% Organic Carbon and .2% Total Nitrogen (TKN) Suitable for remineralization and phosphorus management in direct to ground applications: Soils, tillage, potting mixes and composting. Regulates pH (buffering) while supplying vital nutrients to soils naturally.
Suggested application rates when broadcast directly to ground: 0.5-25 lbs./100 sq. ft. (200 lbs.-5 Tons/acre). Benefits are correlated to application rates. Swanton Black Lime is an alkaline material which will tend to buffer acidic soils as the material weathers. Lime Equivalency is 40%-50% of Hi-cal limestone in most soil environments.
Typical Geochemical Analysis: SiO2 38.16%, Fe2O3 3.75%, CaO 20.67%, MgO 2.22%, Na2O .64%, P205 0.14%, K2O 2.57% Sulphur .83%, V 80 ppm, Zn 61 ppm, Co 14 ppm, Cr 83 ppm, Cu 21 ppm, B 106 ppm
